I shall seek truth, develop my highest moral character, strive for humility, love my country, sacrifice myself for justice, contribute by example to the acceptance of Tang Soo Do as the most genuine of the martial arts, develop my endurance, and value confidence and peace of mind.

THE FOURTEEN ATTITUDE REQUIREMENTS TO MASTER TANG SOO DO
- Purpose of training should be for the enhancement of mental and physical betterment
- Serious approach
- All out effort
- Maintain regular and constant practice
- Practice basic techniques all the time
- Regularly spaced practice sessions
- Always listen to and follow directions of instructors and seniors
- Do not become overly ambitious
- Frequently inspect your own achievements
- Always follow a routine training schedule
- Repeatedly practice all techniques already learned
- When learning new techniques, thoroughly learn the theory and philosophy behind them as well
- When you begin to feel idle, try to overcome this
- Cleanliness is a requirement after training; keep yourself and surroundings clean
